| News Release For immediate release Fort McMurray Food Bank Cancels $250K Jeans Raffle (Fort McMurray, AB- February 16, 2011)- The Fort McMurray Food Bank made the difficult decision to cancel the $250K Jean Raffle. December saw the “Together is Amazing” and “Syncrude Food Bank Drive” events. As always, the generosity of this community did not disappoint and the Food Bank needed more space. The Food Bank had been looking to move for quite some time and an amazing opportunity presented itself. The new location more fully meets the needs of the community by being more accessible to those needing Food Bank services as well as those wishing to support the Food Bank with donations. It is a win-win the Food Bank could not refuse. It was also a very fast move requiring the entire focus and energy of the staff and Board.
